  1. This film was very long and quite boring. Although some parts were interesting it was very repetitive. The part about the factory caught my attention because the process was a lot longer than I thought. After watching the film for 30 minutes I felt like he was trying to point out how things have changed over the years and how our lives are repetitive.

  2. I honestly enjoyed the moovie that we watched on friday. the writer and director looked as if he put alot of time and effort into every single shot, to work on a project for that long with out being able to finish it would drive me crazy. the way he filmed it made it very monotonous and could put a person to sleep in a few minuites but it was also still pretty cool

  3. The film did not interest me very much. The music combined with the images that did not involve that much action was quite tiring to watch. I thought that the first scene that focused on the group of women was held for way too long because it reached the point of where you naturally turn away after watching the same non-moving image for such a long period of time. The factory/ industry portion was the most interesting in the movie because it involved the most movement; however, the assembly lines moving so quickly were somewhat dizzying. I thought that the message was about how people go about their days without really thinking about what they are doing. They get into routines, and they walk about doing the same thing from day to day, and it becomes monotonous.

  4. Thank you, Emily, Garrett, and Ali, for your comments. I was hoping to incite any response I could from this unique film, and you all gave me just that. I hope it wasn't too painful. Thank you, and extra credit to you three!

  5. I stayed awake the whole time and I really enjoyed how the film gave a Tron esc vibe. the lights reminded me of what the grid looks like. I think that the director showed how the world is falling apart due to mans destruction. although it was boring I did enjoy the documentary.

  6. I feel like this movie was repetitive. I liked the message of having the people come and go but the world was staying the same. We change but the world does not. I think it took way too long to convey that message though and please don't put us through that again.

  7. woooowwww... Mr. Cook. This is my 3rd time today trying to post this darn thing. Anyways I think it shows how people just go through the motions no matter what they are doing. All it takes is just one tragedy to bring our nation back down to earth from its throne. People do not really seem to look at the big picture as they live their lives. Also it shows how every little thing in this nation matters to keep it afloat. I thought it was a bit long, but only because it seemed to drag out scenes of complete repeat. A lot of people in our class fell asleep, and I am proud to say that I am one of the few whom did not. I also thought it was a bit funny because it kept moving in fast forward, and I think movies like that are hysterical. Other then that, I would not recommend this movie to anyone, sorry.

  8. Godfrey Reggio's film, Koyaanisqatsi, isn't something I would watch in my free time. The film seemed pointless and kind of made me sick. I did find the cars on the freeway and streets interesting though. Aside from being bored and sick, I comprehended the message the film was trying to portray. People basically go through the same motions everyday in their regular lives. Overall, the film was okay.
